Every day, police motivated by explicit or implicit racial bias stop, harass, arrest — and often brutally kill — Black and brown people. And people in Charleston, Denver, Chicago, Ferguson, and beyond are rising up and building momentum for real-world victories to transform policing.
In the tradition of civil rights protest, our friends at Justice League NYC are marching from NY to DC — 250 miles — to demand an end to discriminatory police violence and move Congress and Pres. Obama to do everything in their power to help end this crisis.
WHAT: #March2Justice rally and kick off — first day of 250 mile march from New York to D.C. demanding Congress and President Obama act to help end discriminatory police violence
WHERE: Richmond Valley Metro Station (Amboy Rd), Staten Island, departing across the Outer Borough Bridge
WHEN: Monday, April 13th 2015 @ 9 AM for rally and press conference. March to Newark begins at 10:30 AM. Feel free to attend just the rally, just the march, or both!
