Color Of Change PAC is proud to endorse Sheldon Neeley for Mayor of Flint, Michigan in the November 5th election!

We’re supporting Sheldon Neeley because he’s committed to restoring trust, transparency, and truth to the Flint mayor’s office.

During his time on Flint City Council and as Flint's State Representative, Sheldon Neeley has:

  1. Helped establish the Flint Promise, which provides free college or greatly reduced tuition to graduates of Flint high schools

  2. Pushed to open the Flint Development Center and Literacy Lab

  3. Pushed to create a Major Crimes Task Force to address increased crime rates, even with city officials lying about rates decreasing

Current mayor Karen Weaver has had 4 years to address the water crisis, improve our schools, secure better job opportunities-- and she has not succeeded. Flint has gotten more than $1 billion in resources to address these issues, but the people have not seen that. Under Weaver's administration, people have lost their homes due to ridiculous water bills and water damage, certain schools continue to lack teachers and resources, and she was even recalled for signing a contract with a corrupt garbage hauler.

If elected, Sheldon Neeley will implement his five-point plan:

Economics and Education
1. Develop a financial plan that will assist with the water rates problem and provide better resources for residents
2. Ensure that all children receive a high-quality education

Residential and Safety
3. Enact common-sense steps to end gun violence and reform the criminal justice system.
4. Build trust between law enforcement and communities of color

Recreation
5. Work with partners and the government to provide better services for residents
