In 2012, 70% of Black women reported voting in the presidential election. Despite having a higher voter turnout than any other group of voters, candidates continue to ignore us in policy discussions about economic opportunity, access to healthcare, financing higher education and a host of other issues.

In our vision of how this electoral season should play out, we see more people who look like us pushing the candidates who want our vote to address the issues and policies that affect our lives.
