Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson racially profiled and fatally shot 18-year-old Mike Brown as the teen stood with his hands in the air. Mike Brown's father — Louis Head — and community members call it an execution.

Racially-motivated police violence has no place in law enforcement and represents the systemic police abuse against Black communities in Ferguson, Missouri, and the county at large.

Enough is enough. Please join us in calling on federal, state, and city officials to rigorously investigate, prosecute, and fire all officers involved and show the necessary leadership to move definitively toward an ending police violence.

Here's the letter we'll send to US Department of Justice, state and local Ferguson law enforcement officials. You can add a personal comment using the box provided.

Dear US Attorney General Eric Holder, MO Attorney General Chris Koster, and Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson,

I write demanding full accountability for the police killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown. On August 9th, 2014 a Ferguson police officer racially profiled and fatally shot Michael as the teen stood in the street with his hands in the air. Police subsequently failed to properly notify the family of Michael's death and callously left the young man lying deceased in the street for hours.

This type of brutal and racially-motivated police violence has no place in law enforcement. Every day, Black residents of Ferguson and Missouri face possible abuse and death at the hands of an officer due to discriminatory policing tactics based on dehumanizing racial stereotypes. In order to secure the necessary justice for Michael's family and prevent this type of indefensible violence in the future, you must take immediate action.

Please exercise your authority to complete a rigorous investigation of the Ferguson Police Department's racially discriminatory policing, prosecute said officers to the fullest extent of the law, and begin the firing process for all involved officers

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
