    Demand Bill O'Reilly Apologize for Dangerous Rhetoric about Black People

    During a recent segment of FOX News’ The O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly alleged that “in certain ghetto neighborhoods it’s part of the culture” for 9-year old Black children to smoke marijuana.

    These statements are not just inaccurate, they're also highly offensive. And such dehumanizing representations of Black people on the news can have dire consequences; abusive treatment by police, less attention from doctors, and harsher sentences from judges, just to name a few.

    The race-bating statements you made on The O’Reilly Factor regarding marijuana use in Black communities were not only inaccurate and offensive, but also dangerous.     Making outrageous and race-baiting comments has been a part of your brand of punditry for years. But enough is enough. You must be held accountable for using such a large following and platform to disseminate these harmful mistruths about Black communities. And any politicians and public figures who continue to join your show, benefit from your platform, and align themselves with you will be held accountable as well. 

    Bill O'Reilly, you should apologize and correct the outrageous statements you made regarding Black people immediately.
