Tell Pelosi and Reid: Insist on fairness in The Super Congress
Every community in America is hurting in the economic recession — and some of the worst pain is being felt by Black Americans, who are on average twice as likely to be unemployed.
The debt commission needs voices that will unwaveringly stand up for all of us. Please join us in calling on Congresswoman Pelosi and Senator Reid to appoint Debt Commission members who will pledge that any cuts are met with new revenues, and who will refuse to allow Medicare, Medicaid, WIC, and student aid to be cut — programs that are critical to maintaining a basic safety net.
