InternetIRL: A forum for Communications Rights & Access

IN-PERSON TICKETS SOLD OUT - Follow LIVE Tuesday at 6pm ET with the Livestream link here: http://bit.ly/internetirl

Right now, the Trump administration is fighting to take away our digital oxygen. In just a few short months, The Federal Communications Commission, has led an assault on protections against predatory practices by broadband providers, access to affordable internet, and net neutrality- the principle that internet service providers like Comcast and Verizon should treat all data equally.

Thankfully, Commissioner Clyburn is doing everything she can to protect our rights, and she needs our help. Join Voices for Internet Freedom, a coalition that organizes and advocates for the digital rights of people of color, and Commissioner Clyburn for a night of community building and fighting back through a series of conversations around the different ways people of color use the Internet to create community and art, organize for change, and learn beyond the walls of a classroom.

Together with additional movement leaders, journalists, and some of Atlanta’s top online entrepreneurs we will be discussing internet freedom, access, affordability, and the various ways in which the internet has opened doors for people of color to thrive and tell the stories that traditional media outlets have historically blocked.

RSVP to join us at our #InternetIRL forum to fight for our digital oxygen! (space is limited, so sign up early!)
