Tweet Action: SF Police Can't Investigate Themselves

UPDATE: Police Chief Bill Scott and DA Boudin will extend the MOU 60 days while they undergo negotiations to reach a new agreement.

This is a BIG victory. Earlier this month, Police Chief Bill Scott attempted to weaken policies on police accountability in San Francisco when he decided to pull out of the MOU. With your help, we put pressure on the SF Police Commissioners by calling on them to uphold the agreement and ensure cops aren't allowed to investigate themselves during instances of misconduct.

Over 2,000 Color Of Change members like you signed the petition and made calls to decision makers in San Francisco. But now is not the time to give up. While they are in negotiations it's crucial we let California's Attorney General Rob Bonta know that police investigations must remain independent. We aren't going to let this fly under the radar.

We need you to send a tweet to AG Bonta telling him to ensure police accountability in San Francisco during this crucial negotiations period. Will you join the fight?

See below the petition that will be sent to the San Francisco Police Commissioners:

    Here is the Petition:

@AGRobBonta we're looking at you to ensure San Franciscans are safe from police violence -- starting with independent investigations against cops. Police can't be trusted to investigate themselves.
