Send a message of appreciation to Johns Hopkins' frontline medical staff

The nurses, orderlies, receptionists, cleaning staff and other frontline staff members at Johns Hopkins are working harder than ever to care for patients who are seeking treatment for COVID-19 (coronavirus). With every passing day, it becomes more and more difficult for medical staff, who continually expose themselves to the virus and must make heart-wrenching decisions about who to treat due to the scarcity of medical supplies. But, they continue to make these sacrifices for us, selflessly.

Johns Hopkins is not only a world-renowned hospital; it is a hospital that serves a tremendous number of Black people in Baltimore. And Johns Hopkins staff remains dedicated to our community in the face of the near-constant challenges that coronavirus presents. Some staff members are forced to treat patients without protective medical gear, like face masks or gloves. Others must choose which patients to provide ventilators to in the face of extreme ventilator shortages. For these sacrifices, and the countless others medical staff continue to make, frontline healthcare workers are heroes.

So, to show them our appreciation, we’re sending the frontline staff at Johns Hopkins some kind notes and messages of encouragement. Although it is a small gesture, a kind message can go a long way towards keeping staff members going in this difficult time. Write a kind note or message of encouragement to Johns Hopkins staff to thank them for their service.
