    Keep Roland Martin on air

Roland Martin has been one of the most important Black voices in media and the cancellation of his show, "News One Now," raises red flags about our country’s increasingly less diverse media landscape. At a moment of growing media consolidation, Black journalists and the critical insights they provide to our entire country are under threat. In recent years, we’ve seen networks pushing Black pundits like Tamron Hall, Melissa Harris Perry, and now Roland Martin off the air or minimizing their roles. The serious consequences of losing these voices from our airwaves cannot be overstated. Roland Martin used his show to challenge stereotypical frames about Black and poor people and discuss issues that are too often overlooked or ignored by mainstream media outlets.

Roland has gone to bat for Black and poor people more times than we can count. It’s time for us to go to bat for him.

Share your comments thanking and appreciating Roland for all he's done and sign the petition calling on streaming services to pick up his show and invest in Black journalism.

Below is the letter we will send to the executives of multi-media and streaming companies:

    Here is the Petition:
    Dear CEO,

Roland Martin is a critical voice in the national conversation and the cancellation of News One Now raises red flags about our country’s increasingly less diverse media landscape.

Roland Martin used his show to discuss issues that are too often overlooked or ignored by mainstream media outlets. He is one of the television journalists, for example, closely covering the Trump administration’s attacks on net neutrality and how those attacks will impact Black people and all Americans.

Help keep Black media strong by bringing Roland Martin's show to your platform and investing in Black journalism.
