To U.S. Department of Education and FedLoan Servicing:
Honor our student loan payment agreement!
FedLoan Servicing and the Department of Education must honor the agreements they have made to everyone enrolled in the Public Loan Forgiveness Program. These half a million Americans have made the sacrifice to work in public service and social good jobs to make a difference and in exchange, have their loans forgiven.
Student Loan Servicers are not here to help us. For-profit companies like FedLoan Servicing and their parent company the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency handle trillions of dollars in student debt and hold the future of 68% of Americans in their hands. They also hold people’s freedom – under the Department of Justice these privately run but publically funded companies have the power to send federal Marshalls of the homes of people who have student debt.
Enough is enough. Sign the petition to FedLoan Servicing and the Department of Education today.
Here is the Petition:
We, the undersigned, demand that FedLoan Servicing honor the eligibility agreements and approval letters of people who have already been qualified to benefit from the Public Loan Forgiveness Program. FedLoan Servicing is a privately run company with very little accountability and entirely too much power over the future of half a million Americans who have been consistently repaying their loans and meeting all of the requirements to have their debt erased. No one should have their futures in limbo because of the poorly management and corruption. We will not rest until everyone has a right to an affordable college education and a debt-free future.
