This racist Trump official needs to go: Fire Eric Blankenstein

Racist, sexist, and politically toxic views do not belong at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) - the watchdog agency tasked with ensuring financial institutions are not engaged in predatory and discriminatory banking practices.
Eric Blankenstein, the senior Trump official responsible for enforcing landmark civil rights legislation aimed at protecting Black people from discriminatory financial practices - like redlining and subprime mortgages - questioned in blog posts if using the n-word was inherently racist and claimed that the great majority of hate crimes were hoaxes among other abhorrent views. With these reprehensible views, it's clear that Blankenstein cannot be counted on to pursue the complex discrimination cases his division is supposed to be handling.
Pressure is mounting on Acting Director Mick Mulvaney to fire Blankenstein as internal CFPB staff are publicly rebelling against Blankenstein after he attempted to use a Black woman with a distinguished career at the CFPB for political cover of his hostile and toxic comments. If we generate a wave of public pressure, we can get this racist, sexist appointee fired. Take action send a message directly to Mick Mulvaney demanding he fire Eric Blankenstein.
