As the Supreme Court continues to erode our rights and protections while being exposed for financial connections to conservative donors and activists, we’re demanding Congress take proactive steps to push back against this assault on our communities by fighting back against the Court! We need Congress to increase the number of justices sitting on the bench.

Years and years of work by people working to roll back the gains we’ve been able to build since the Brown v Board ruling have been able to succeed in putting reactionary right wing conservatives on the court to issues rulings which can never pass through Congress. The denial of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court followed by the under examined confirmations of Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barret has led to a Supreme Court which has no respect for precedent or public opinion. This has all been punctuated by the recent revelations of payments to Clarence Thomas. We need Congress to act to fix this court.

In the short time we’ve seen this iteration of the Supreme Court we’ve already seen unprecedented attacks on people’s right to bodily autonomy, work under fair conditions, and now get a fair shot at an education.
