Tell the Board of Supervisors who should be the next Alameda County DA

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors (BOS) voted to conduct an open and transparent appointment process to replace outgoing District Attorney (DA) Pamela Price. Last week, the BOS selected seven finalists for a public interview: Ursula Jones Dickson, Venus Johnson, Annie Esposito, Latricia Louis, Yibin Shen, Elgin Lowe, and Jimmie Wilson. During the week of January 27th, the BOS will make their final decision.

We are relying on the next DA to pursue the transformative change that our communities deserve. Will you contact the Board of Supervisors and let them know who your pick for the next Alameda DA is?

Here is the Petition:

As an Alameda County resident, I urge you to appoint [INSERT YOUR CHOICE HERE] as the next district attorney. I believe they will pursue the transformative change that our communities deserve by: (1) opposing the death penalty; (2) holding law enforcement accountable when they break the law; (3) investing in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation; (4) treating children as children; and (5) committing to second chances and resentencing.

Thank you for your attention to this matter,

A Color Of Change Member
