"TIME: The Kalief Browder Story" Screening - Philadelphia

Color Of Change and SpikeTV invite you to attend a community screening of “TIME: The Kalief Browder Story” docuseries on Thurs, March 30 at The African American Museum in Philadelphia, PA.

“TIME: The Kalief Browder Story” chronicles the life of a16-year-old Kalief Browder, who spent three years on Rikers Island without ever being convicted of a crime. Kalief spent more than 800 of those days in solitary confinement. Kalief's charges were ultimately dropped and the trauma he endured while incarcerated caused him to take his own life shortly after being released. His tragic story has galvanized activists and reformers alike in the name of justice.

There will also be a panel session with Kalief's family, film producers, and Philly organizers to debrief the film and discuss systems such as money bail that kept Kalief unjustly caged for so long. Please use the form found on this page to RSVP.
