2018 is the year for Black people everywhere to continue building and demonstrating collective power. We need our collective work and commitment to our community to be visible in all aspects of our lives - our homes, our place of business, our schools, and places of worship. We are calling on Black folks from all walks of life to join us in engaging conversations about how we want to transform our communities.

We want you to have fun! Black love, joy, and community will be our saving grace along the road to ending the many systems of oppression we endure as Black people.

Once a team has been established, Color Of Change will provide the digital resources and strategy support needed for the team to launch a campaign targeting the decision-maker they identified.

Team leaders and members will work together to:

• Build organizing teams consisting of gathering attendees who want to take action in transforming their communities.
• Establish team roles such as:
• Team Lead
• Logistics
• Communications Lead
• Community Outreach
• Etc.
• Host gatherings to bring even more awareness to the work that is being done and to build deeper people power. Gatherings can film screenings, brunches, dinners, church meetings, etc
• Participate in a countywide coalition with other Color Of Change member led teams and strategize together.

There is flexibility in how these teams will be structured and how they will engage each other. Folks can gather around the tv in someone’s living room, a potluck at church, or a restaurant with friends.
