Save the country's oldest Black bookstore

The oldest Black bookstore in the country is facing eviction on Tuesday. After a predatory loan put the property in foreclosure, real estate speculators Nishan and Suhaila Sweis snatched up the building and now they're trying to kick out one of the few Black businesses left in San Francisco.

The eviction of Marcus Books would mean an end to a historical legacy longer than the bookstore itself. Can you make a call to and urge Nishan and Suhaila Sweis and urge them to sell back the property? Tell them to preserve our history and keep the nation's oldest Black-owned bookstore alive.
