    Not To Be Trusted: Working against inaccurate crime reporting in New York City

    According to our News Accuracy Report Card, every major local news network in New York City is disproportionately focusing their crime reporting on Black suspects. 

    This disproportionate and inaccurate targeting of Black folks by local NYC news media puts our communities in real danger. Because when the news media promotes such dangerous and hostile coverage, New York City becomes a more hostile place for Black people.
