**UPDATE 3/30/15: Governor Ducey vetoed SB 1445 after sustained pressure from a diverse coalition of civil rights advocates, including hundreds of ColorOfChange members.**

In the midst of a nationwide crisis of police brutality, powerful Arizona police unions are trying to make it even harder to hold discriminatory, violent police officers accountable. A bill — currently on the desk of Governor Doug Ducey — would prohibit law enforcement from disclosing the names of officers who kill or brutalize residents for 60 days.

Arizona's #SecretPolice bill would make it easier for police to abuse and kill with impunity. The state is a testing ground for conservative legislation that targets and harms communities of color. And if this policy is enacted we can expect similar bills across the country to roll back transparency and public trust in law enforcement at a time when it is needed most.

Now, Gov. Ducey has four days left to sign this dangerous bill into law. Will you email Gov. Ducey today and urge him to veto SB 1445?
